Lily Armour
Lead Groom
From a young age Lily was always infatuated with horses. In 2017 she started taking lessons on a sweet Rocky Mountain gelding with a family friend, and it was there that she realized this was something she enjoyed doing. In early 2021 Lily started taking lessons and interning with Mackenzie Durbin, of Sálmur Icelandics. She instantly became fond of the breed, continuing to take lessons and further her knowledge of the Icelandic horse. In February of 2022, Lily got offered an opportunity to intern at Lettleiki Icelandics, and enthusiastically accepted. This is where she was introduced to the world of Dressage and Icelandic horse showing. She has traveled out of state to Indiana, Ohio and Iowa where she has assisted in grooming and learning the ropes with the trainers, Paetra Hennigar and Molly Stotts. In January of 2023, Lily began working as a training assistant where she continues to assist in lunging horses, grooming for the trainers, and furthering her knowledge of training. She competed in the 2022 and 2023 Triple Ice Championships / Triple World Ranking Shows at Lettleiki Icelandics and scored very well.
