Jahlen started riding in 2018 at Walnut Way Farms and spent as much time as possible learning under her first riding instructor Marilyn MacFarlane. Unfortunately, after the passing of Marilyn, Jahlen took some time away from the horse world to explore other hobbies which included soccer. In 2023 she decided to take a job at Lettleiki Icelandics as an Assistant. She participated in her first Icelandic schooling show in September 2023 and then showed in the Triple Ice Championships/Triple World Ranking Shows and the Svöluhagi Klassik in 2024. In early 2025 Jahlen moved into a position as a Barn Manager and is enjoying using the horse care knowledge she’s gained and her great organizational skills in her career. She has a rabbit named Cash and a chocolate labrador named Sadie and would one day like to buy her own horse!
