Our Fall Newbies Clinic is a fantastic two-day event focused on educating about all aspects of the Icelandic horse for those new to the breed or interested in learning more about them! We will cover topics such as history of the Icelandic horse, training, breeding, and management, in addition to participants learning to ride this fun breed in a couple riding sessions! Halloween Countryside Riding Clinic (Click Here)

This fun one day event will be focused around learning about countryside riding! It’s encouraged to dress up in costume - but please remember if you plan to ride your costume should be able to be ridden in, and not have any aspects that could scare a horse!

USIHC Nationally Ranked Svöluhagi Klassik Competition & Practical Judging Clinic

USIHC Nationally Ranked Svöluhagi Klassik (held in conjunction with optional Practical Judging Clinic)

This is a USIHC Nationally Ranked Competition in conjunction with a Practical Judging Clinic with FEIF International Sport Judge Alexandra Dannenmann.

The Svöluhagi Klassik will begin with preliminaries on Saturday September 14th and continue with finals in all classes on Sunday September 15th.

***Please note: In order to participate in the show on Sunday you MUST show on Saturday in the preliminaries!***

Optional Practical Judging Clinic

The Practical Judging Clinic will begin Friday September 13th with learning about Icelandic Sport Judging. It will continue over the weekend with practice judging during the horse show. Alex Dannenmann will be teaching this clinic! She is a FEIF International Sport Judge since 2015, IPZV Level B Trainer since 2012, has competed at the World Championships in 2023, and is currently competing at the highest level on the international stage in Icelandic Competitions in Europe.

Day 1 - Lecture Day $150

There will be lecture and discussion about the Icelandic Sport Judging Guidelines, judging philosophy, techniques to train you eye, and much more.

Days 2+3 - Practical Judging Practice Days $50/day

Participants may sit in the middle of the oval track and practice the skills they’ve learned/discuss them during the Svöluhagi Klassik competition with Alex Dannenmann. This is a great opportunity for current or future judges, or anyone interested in learning how to train their eye for what is looked at in competition.

New for 2024! Ages 8+

Instructor Approval Required

9 AM - 4 PM each day.

Is your child interested in stepping into the show ring? If so, this 3-day camp is the one for you! This camp is focused on learning any and everything about showing Icelandic horses. Campers will be learning how to prepare a program for a competition, proper turn-out for themselves and their horses, the structure, classes, and judging criteria for showing, and more. It will include a mini-show on the final day. This camp is HIGHLY recommended for any rider who wants to show in the future. This camp is open to current students ages 8 and up, and does require instructor approval to register.

Green Bean Camp (Click Here)

New for 2024! Ages 8+

9 AM - 4 PM each day.

No experience? No problem! This three-day camp is open to any youth ages 8-17, and is specifically geared towards our brand-new riders, or beginner riders with limited experience. This camp will focus on teaching all the basics of horses, and begin to develop solid foundations in riding. It will be a mix of riding and horsemanship skills. It is a great introduction to the horse world, and is a great way to test the waters. No prior experience or approval required.

This new 3-day camp is for our students who are interested in learning more about what goes into the care of horses and the barn. This would be great for any students interested in leasing or owning their own horse one day! We will be exploring all things related to horse care, horse health, barn care, and more. Our campers will enjoy many activities, including riding, art, educational games and more! No prior experience or approval required.

This brand-new camp is three days of fun focused on enjoying our horses doing alternatives to typical arena work outside! This camp will have a combination of trail riding, games, mounted and unmounted obstacles, as well as other educational and fun group activities around the barn. This camp is open to current students ages 8 and up. Instructor approval is required for this camp to insure the safety of our students and horses.

Young Riders Camp (Ages 12-17)

Three days of intensive equestrian education for youth ages 12 - 17!

9am - 4pm each day.

This is our most immersive camp designed for our middle and high schoolers ages 12-17. This is an intensive three day camp that will focus on the function of the barn and detailed horse care to give them a full picture of what working in the horse industry in various positions looks like. Additionally this camp will work on developing stronger riding skills for the show ring. We do suggest some experience to get the most value out of this camp, but it is not required!

This is a next level three day camp designed to begin fostering more independence within our 8-11 age group. This camp is a great fit for our slightly older children who are ready to experience more of the horse world. This camp is a mix of riding, horse care and other educational experiences, crafts and teamwork activities. No experience is required!
