Lindsay Hillyer

Assistant Instructor

Lindsay began her equestrian journey on a small Arabian farm in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of ten. At age twelve she met Julie Graber at a schooling show she was attending with a dressage barn at the time. Lindsay started expanding her riding career after meeting Julie Graber, learning about eventing, show jumping, and dressage, along with getting her started in Pony Club. Lindsay was a member of the United States Pony Club for seven years, with many notable accomplishments such as being a participant in Championships for Quiz, which is a basis of horse management knowledge, in 2012. She also participated in Championships at the Kentucky Horse Park as a stable manager in 2014. Lindsay graduated Pony Club at the age of 18 with a D-3 in horse riding at the advanced beginner level along with a C-1 rating in horse management at an intermediate level. Lindsay was a manager of a restaurant for three years, then found interest in the automotive industry as an automotive parts consultant and a car detailer. In the later years she went to work for a factory where she became a member of leadership within the Ground Effects Company as the Quality Supervisor, then a Team Lead, all the way to Production Supervisor. In Fall of 2023 Lindsay decided she wanted to get back into the horse industry and accepted an Assistant Instructor position here at Lettleiki Icelandics. She’s looking forward to furthering her knowledge of Icelandic horses and is excited to share her equine passion with others.
