Pegasus frá Skyggni IS1997103226 US1997125294
The horse of a lifetime…
A son of the “greatest sire of the last century” Hrafn 802 frá Holtsmúla, Pegasus has many of the conformational and character traits of his famous father (1) He shows four very good and well-separated gaits., though likely has the pace gene, which I plan to test for this year. His evaluation scores have been consistent with 8.33 for conformation and 8.31 for ridden abilities (9.0 for tolt, canter/gallop, spirit, and general impression. At the Icelandic championships in 2005, Hulda Gustafsdottir and Pegasus were 3rd in four-gait with a score of 8.27. He has 96 offspring in Iceland, one of which is Hrannar frá Skyggni who got 7.93 in A-finals in T2 at the World Championships in Berlin, 2013. He has 15 offspring in the U.S. including pintos and a silver dapple bay.
Pegasus was imported in 2006 and competed in T1 and V1 at the World Championships in 2007 and 2009.
Behind all of this talent is my best trail horse and companion. He is the ideal horse.
