Léttleiki Icelandics Spring Schooling Show

March 28th – 29th

This was Léttleiki´s first schooling show! This was a great opportunity for our students to practice for our upcoming sanctioned show and get feedback from a qualified judge.

The goal of our schooling show was creating a friendly and fun event with the primary focus being on education.   The riders gained experience in all aspects of showing on an oval track in international FIPO classes without the pressure of it being a sanctioned show.  We think this goal was achieved!

Our judge Alexandra Dannenmann is an IPZV Trainer B, an IPZV API-examiner, and a US intern sport judge. She is also chairman of the USIHC education committee.   Alexandra is a skilled competition rider and has competed in many international competitions in Germany.   We are lucky to have a judge that can give feedback not only as an intern judge but also as a qualified instructor and competitor herself. Alexandra gave feed back during the ride helping riders find the correct speed, rhythm, and form for each. She also gave a summary after each performance going over what went well and what might need to be improved.
