A second generation farrier, well known in central Kentucky and with over 20 years experience with gaited  and other horses, Billy found us because he was interested in our more natural way of shoeing gaited horses.  He has proved to be a patient thoughtful expert addition to our team.  Before he even started he spent time talking with us, observing the horses in training and learning as much as he could about international guidelines for competition and current ideas in Icelandic shoeing. He takes the time to learn about each horse and meet their specific needs. Comfortable with working on young horses and patient and caring with older horses, Billy can also meet the needs of horses that need therapeutic shoeing, trimming and treatment for problems such laminitis, founder and navicular disease.  While we use his cold shoeing expertise, Billy is also experienced with hot shoeing and natural barefoot trimming.
